Making Marks - An Intro to Encaustics

Service Description

Class: 1-4pm This class will be an introduction to painting with hot wax and the various media which can be used to create a unique work of art. Students will learn how to prepare a surface for encaustic painting and will apply various materials to the surface as well as carving and texturing to create a unique piece. All supplies included ( wax, brushes, raised board, papers, fiber, oil sticks and pan pastels, tools) Student should bring an apron or old shirt for protection. Bring stencils if you have them. Registration - $135 includes materials.
